Great day out at Tongariro river yesterday. Rafting New Zealand is just great. Warm welcome reception, smart, bright, clean, comfortable facilities. Friendly, fun staff. Time flies when we are having fun… Tongariro river offers an amazing view with rare wild birds like the Blue Ducks. They were swing just a few meters away from our boat (check them out on our slideshow) and the native bush completes the scenary.
Half way from the trip we stopped by a hidden waterfall. What a treasure!!! We made our way towards it for a free jump! I was so excited to climb the top and jump into the water. However I have to admit that I freaked out because of the height. Anyway, if you are in New Zealand you have to have a go. It’s the opportunity of a life time. So I did! what an excitement. What a great feeling … can’t drescribe. You have to try so you know what I am talking about. After that we continued our trip down the river enjoying the rapids on way. It’s a total of 50!
We finished our half day trip with a hot shower followed by hot dogs and beer!! Memorable experience.
